It is that time of year where we begin to start thinking into the future and planning for what next year will bring. Before we wrap up this chapter in Hawkward's history we want to thank our graduating seniors for everything they have given to the group.

First, to our outgoing Business Manager, Marissa Papapietro.

Thank you for leading us through one of our most demanding years, not only musically, but also in relation to our schedule. We have been honored to have you leading us from our second time opening

for Jay Leno, to UNH, and to every place in between. From your dazzling solo on "Gravity/Run to You" to the countless broadway numbers you sang in our end of the semester recitals, you have amazed us with your voice every single time you opened your mouth. You have been nothing but an amazing leader with so much positivity that we couldn't help being motivated at every rehearsal and performance. Thank you for all of the time you have dedicated to the group and will miss your amazing voice in our soprano section next year.

Next, our beloved alto, Kelly Scammon.

You have been nothing but a ray of sunshine in all of our lives. You never failed to bring a smile to the group's faces, even when you were under the weather. Even though you might laugh at each little mistake, your voice is absolutely beautiful and will definitely be missed. Also, thank you for always being willing to take one for the team and driving the university vans to URI and Merrimack this semester. You auditioned for this group so many times and we are so thankful and appreciative of your perseverance, and your pure talent as one of the shining members of our alto section. Keep on shining, Kelly.

And finally, our outstanding beatboxer & bass, Galen Shrand

You have been keeping the beat of the beating heart of the group for longer than any of us have known. Thank for making us all laugh for hours on end and being nothing but a force of pure joy and positivity in our lives. Being the one of our few beatboxers for 3+ years must have put a huge weight on your shoulders, and I don't think we could have chosen someone more up to the task. Thank you for everything you have done for us. There's no way we could even begin to replace a personality & talent like yours.

We love you three, and cannot wait to see all that you will accomplish in your futures. You have paved the way for this group and are leaving it in more than capable hands. Be sure to come back and visit as soon as your can. To quote one of our favorite songs: "As we walk together into the light, we are lionheart."

We love you, Class of 2018. Go forth, and be amazing!
